Today’s team member is Joe Sloan, who’s been with us four years.
Joe is one of our care coordinators, which means he determines if clients are eligible for our various in-home programs and/or state assistance. Through his work, he’s watched our reassessment program grow substantially, which allows contact with more people. He’s glad this means we can assist a population we may not have been able to serve otherwise, and secure more funding for our agency at the same time.
“My favorite aspect about the agency is the way in which our services enable people to remain in their homes,” says Joe. “I did not know about these services before starting with the agency, and it feels good to be able to give people options they did not know they had.”
When he’s not working, and there isn’t a pandemic, Joe really enjoys going to the movie theater. But he also likes movies and TV at home, online gaming, playing tabletop games, and considers himself blessed to have a wonderful family and friends to do all these things with. And we can’t leave it unsaid: He’s a diehard Chiefs fan. Win or lose, he’s there for every minute of every game!
