Young at Heart has partnered with Give 5, a program licensed to communities across the country. The Give 5 program is a no-cost “civic matchmaking” initiative connecting retirees and soon-to-be retirees with nonprofit organizations to have meaningful volunteer opportunities that best fit their skill sets and passions. Communities large and small are recognizing the power of Give 5 to energize and mobilize the incredible power of baby boomers who are retired, or are considering retirement. We can help you figure out what direction is right for you and your community to harness this great resource!
Give 5 focuses on:
- Celebrating…retirees and their contributions to our community
- Transitioning…helping retirees disengage from their “work life”-the only life most have ever know-and transition to learn to enjoy retirement, while also making retirement more fulfilling
- Engaging…helping retirees find their true passion and helping them connect with volunteer opportunities that match and feed their passions, ensuring they feel relevant
