Meet Becky Caldwell, who is with our Ombudsman program.

Becky’s been with Young at Heart Resources for more than seven years. She started as a care coordinator, assisting clients with things like Medicaid and in-home assessments, and back then was also a licensed navigator for the Affordable Care Act. In 2015, she received a promotion and today is the Regional Ombudsman Manager. This means she’s an advocate for residents who live in long-term care.

Becky’s favorite part of her work is empowering residents and their families by informing them of their rights, as established by law. She says, “I’m very grateful to work for an agency that does so much, not only for long-term care residents, but for seniors out in the community, too.”

Becky and her husband, Tony, have been married for 23 years. He works as a Laborer Foreman with Alberici Constructors. Together they have 4 children: daughter Chelsea, 29, is a branch programming associate with Mid-Continent Public Library and lives in Kansas City; Logan, their 20-year-old son, is in his second year of a carpentry apprenticeship; Holly, 18, attends NCMC and is on the college’s Dance Wave team; and Amy, who is 17 and a junior at Winston High School, is in NHS and FFA.

Outside of work, Becky loves spending time with her big, close-knit extended family, and she particularly likes kicking back with them by her pool in the summer. She also enjoys traveling, reading books, playing games, and watching a variety of television programming, like the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, crime documentaries, and Hallmark movies.

Thank you for your contributions to our agency, Becky!
