While residents’ rights are the first priority of our Ombudsman Program, the protection of those living in long-term care facilities is high on the list of our concerns throughout the pandemic caused by COVID-19, too.
Shelter-in-place orders are lifting throughout the state of Missouri, and we know you’re ready to visit with your loved ones again. But, since nursing homes and other communal complexes serve a vulnerable population, they’ll be some of the last organizations to reopen.
We ask that you continue to practice patience with staff, and follow the recommended safety precautions until you can freely visit as a family again without restrictions.
