Why Become a Board Member?
As a board member, you will help shape the strategic vision, governance, and overall health of the organization. Your leadership and expertise will be essential in overseeing major decisions, advocating for our values, and ensuring our long-term success.
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for dedicated individuals with diverse skills, experience, and backgrounds who are committed to empower and provide older adults in Northwest Missouri the opportunity to live safe, healthy, independent lives in the home environment of their choice. Ideal candidates will possess:
- Leadership experience in business, nonprofit, or community settings.
- A passion for promotions systems that maintain and enhance the quality of life for older adults in the home environment of their choice, and a desire to make an impact.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A willingness to actively participate in board meetings, fundraising, and events.
- Experience with governance, strategic planning, or financial oversight (preferred but not required).
Board Member Responsibilities:
- Attend quarterly board meetings and participate in committee work.
- Support and advance the organization’s mission through strategic planning and decision-making.
- Contribute to fundraising and outreach efforts.
- Actively participate in setting policies, overseeing budgets, and assessing organizational performance.
